This bronzer by Bare Minerals is a really great way to liven up, add a little colour and contour your face.
Just store it and open it upright, or you’ll be in a bit of a mess!
The loose powder is scent free and a very deep colour so the expression ‘less is more’ really applies, otherwise you’ll look like a burnt orange (never a good look)
Dip your brush in gently, just once and only enough to touch the very end of the hairs, then get some tissue and dab the tip of the brush a couple of times to remove the excess.
Apply the bronzer lightly just under your cheek bones for definition, brush very lightly the around the edge of your forehead, top of your nose, cheeks and around the edge of your face for a sun kissed glow. Remember you can build up the colour much easier than trying to take it away if you’ve applied too much!

A Foundation That Really Stays Put!
This Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation is truly excellent, It just doesn’t move!
Usually by midday or early evening my foundation has either slid off my face or as I’m always touching my face, it’s usually all over my hands and anything else I’ve touched (annoyingly)
The bottle says ‘stay-in-place make-up’ and boy does it, it has a smooth texture and a pleasant scent, but be warned you need to get used to applying it. When it’s dried it really isn’t good to go over it as it will look a bit caked, so work quite quickly using a brush.
Blend downwards paying special attention to any pigmentation problems, thread veins (yes it covers them yeeeaaah) etc
The other fabulous thing is you really don’t need much, the 30ml bottle will last ages and the colours available are lovely, they give a great even warm tone and this product seems to help with the appearance of enlarged pores.
But heres my second warning…… moisturise well! This foundation dries quite dry, if your skin isn’t well moisturise it simple won’t sit as well, so exfoliate regularly and moisturise well….. your result will then be as even and as flawless a complexion (which stays in place) as you’ll probably ever have.
If you’re like me and you like to look a bit more tanned than you actually are, buying a shade or two darker is a great way to go, but blend the foundation down onto your neck otherwise you’ll have an unsightly line.
A Really Great Primer By Estee Lauder
If you don’t use or have never used a primer and have trouble getting your make-up to stay in place or have uneven skin texture, large pores or dullness, a good primer can really help.
I bought this one by Estée (ha, look at me, I found the e with a little hat on) Lauder when I bought the double wear foundation.
On the front of the box it says ‘Illuminating Perfecting Primer’ on the back it says ‘Adds instant brightness and radiance so make-up looks smooth and fresh’ I have to say my skin has never looked better, it really is illuminated without being shiny!
This product has ‘soft-reflection optic’ which is said to minimise the appearance of pores and flaws, I must say it definitely has made a difference to mine Yaaaaaay!
This primer has a light soft creamy texture, with little to no scent, the product goes far so you really don’t need much. Having said that, don’t rub it in too much, it needs to sit on your skin to provide the base you require.
For me, I have achieved the best results when using this primer in combination with the double wear foundation, my skin looks really great if I apply the foundation before the primer has totally dried.
